The Minister highlighted the competitiveness of the north African country's agricultural, mining and industrial products, recalling the sectoral development plans launched by the country to diversify its offer regarding exports and boost investments in the fields of energy, textile and electronics.
He underscored tax incentives extended to export enterprises with a foothold in the different Moroccan regions mainly the 5-year tax-exemption for businesses that have just opened doors.
Maazouz also recalled that under the free trade agreements signed by Morocco, products manufactured in the country are exempted from customs in the EU, the US, Turkey and some Arab countries.
Maazouz held also talks with his Chinese peer, Chen Dening, on the means to boost bilateral exchanges by restoring the trade balance currently showing a deficit in favor of China.
The two parties signed an agreement of socio-economic partnership under which China will grant Morocco 10 million dirhams.
